back to the grind
today’s the last day of “spring break” for me cuz I go back to work tomorrow :(. it was so nice to not have to wake up early or worry about work and school. but everything comes to an end, but it was nice while it lasted! got a lot of school work to get done too!
anyway, insanity is going pretty good so far. day 4 today, which I’ll have to do tonight since I’m out right now with the boy getting haircuts and stuff. and I regret cutting my hair cuz he messed up my bangs and cut my hair a little shorter than I wanted :(. oh well, my hair will grow!
lastly, started watching community and it’s such a good show! or at least it gives me some laughs. watch it if you haven’t! :)
INSANITY
Started insanity today with the fit test. Except, I didn’t keep track of any numbers, so I won’t be able to track my progress when the next fit test comes up lol. OH WELL. Let’s just hope I can keep this up and lose some weight and get fit for summer. because I obviously failed at getting in shape for POP, which is THIS SATURDAY! :(
Anyway! It’s spring break and I took off work until Thursday, so I hope I get some magical R&R the next three days!
TATCHA
So I read about tatcha through an email from dailycandy. I never heard about this skincare brand before, but the founder developed it from stuff that geisha’s use or something (visit tatcha.com to read more about it). Anyway, I went to the website and decided to try it out. Bought the sampler for $49 (normally $100+), which includes the cleanser, 3 packets of each rice powder (classic, gentle, and deep), brightening serum, and cream. It also comes with a pack of their original aburatorigami paper (blotting sheet essentially). The blotting papers have been around for awhile, but the skincare line just came out this year. Unfortunately, they only sell it at select Barney’s retail stores in NY, so I would always have to buy it online. It shipped out from SF though, so I got it within a day or two from ordering.
I’ve only used it last night, so I can’t say much about it yet. However, I did get a facial on Tuesday, which left me with lots of redness and spots. I used Tatcha last night, and my face seems to be a lot better now, but I don’t know if it’s from Tatcha products or just from the natural renewal of my skin.
HAVE NOT tried the blotting sheets yet, but it’s raved about by a lot of people and comes up in a lot of magazines. I don’t have a lot of oil or anything, so I won’t really know if it helps, but I’ll let my friends try it and let you know what they think!
Anyway, I’ll continue to use Tatcha every night until I run out of the products and see if I see a vast improvement or anything. The actual products are pretty pricey, so if it doesn’t work well, I’ll probably continue on my search for great skincare products.
BLISS “NO ZIT-SHERLOCK”

I bought the BLISS “no zit-sherlock” about a month ago because I was having extreme problems with pimples on my face! The stuff I normally used wasn’t cutting it, so I decided to try something new. I bought this set as a sampler from sephora (around $36). You can also get it online from bliss (If you’re already an avid user of bliss and spend over $100, they’re giving away their sampler kits free right now…you can pick from 4 different skincare lines).
I’m usually hesitant with using new products because I have super sensitive skin. However, this bliss set seemed to work pretty well and it’s lasted me so far. It comes with the purifying cleanser & toner (it’s one thing), correcting serum, and oil-control moisturizer. The cleanser and moisturizer contain 2% salicylic acid to treat pimples. The correcting serum is supposed help you heal from pimples and diminish hyperpigmentation. It also says it has probiotics, but I don’t know how effective those really are.
All I can say is so far so good because I haven’t had a bad breakout yet. It seems to be controlling my skin really well and keeping pimples astray! :) It’s not the only products I use, but it’s been the main one for day and night since I got it. So if you’re having issues with acne or pimples, I’d say give it a try because it’s working for me and I have super sensitive skin.
TIME TO LOSE WEIGHT AND GET IN SHAPE!
Summer has made me extremely lazy and FAT, so since it’s about the beginning of the month, I’m going to start eating healthier and exercising! Even got a gym membership, so that I can just remind myself how much that cost and motivate myself to exercise because usually I’m good for a few days, then slump back into laziness! :( Hopefully I can reach my goal and get in shape within the next 6 months. It’s a long way to go and I realize that I can’t just drop 5 lbs quick because it never stays off!
Anyway, so some goals for now:
-drink more water, maybe 4-5 glasses a day for now
-avoid junk food+alcohol
-eat more health conscious meals and avoid excess fat!
-get more fruits and veggies into my meals/snacks
-cardio at least 3-5x a week and strength training 2x a week
-walk to more places! take the stairs! anything that makes me more active
I remember at one point in college I was up to 132 lbs and I was like DAMN! And looking back at some pictures, you could really see the chubb in my face!! :( But now I’m down back in the 110’s…usually ranging from 112-118. Gotta make the weight loss more steady instead of jumping 5 lbs every week!
Current weight: 117.5 lbs
Goal weight: ~110 lbs
Ate bad today already >.< Need to find a job that is not in the food industry so I don’t eat all that crap every day! Or I guess I could bring lunch instead then…but saves money to eat work food. Exercised a little around my room today and going to head to the gym with babe later. Let’s see how long I’ll last today! Endurance is down to a lowwwwwww!! AHHHHH! Okay, no more complaining or saying I’ll do it and not do it!
GOGOGO!!!
xoxo.
